The OTHC series quick connectors are designed for airtightness and pressure testing of external-threaded components. Each connector establishes an instant, tool-free seal on threaded test pieces, reducing connection time and improving repeatability on production lines and in quality control laboratories. The series covers four external thread standards — metric (M), G-type, NPT, and UNF — with corresponding plugging versions available for sealing-only applications. Three outline dimension sizes (1, 2, and 3) accommodate different thread diameters and spatial constraints.
The main structural components are manufactured from corrosion-resistant stainless steel and aluminum alloy. This material combination delivers mechanical strength for high-pressure testing while resisting degradation from prolonged exposure to test media and industrial environments. Additional designs and configurations can be customized according to customer-specified requirements.
The primary seal is made of nitrile rubber (NBR), which provides consistent compression set resistance and sealing integrity across the operating pressure range. The reference standard leakage rate is 10⁻³ mbar·L/s (10⁻⁴ Pa·m³/s). Devices with lower leakage rates can be supplied upon request, subject to the testing method, temperature, pressure, and the surface quality of the customer-supplied sample — including surface treatment, roughness, and dimensional tolerances of the sealing surfaces.
Connection is achieved through a handle-operated mechanism. The operator presses the handle, inserts the threaded test piece into the connector, and releases the handle to secure the connection. This manual actuation method requires no external power source and is suitable for both bench-top and inline testing setups.

OTHC connectors are deployed in manufacturing and quality control environments where external-threaded parts require pressure or vacuum verification. Typical use cases include automotive fluid system components, hydraulic fitting assemblies, pneumatic valve bodies, industrial sensor housings, and refrigeration system connectors. Commercial users in the automotive, aerospace, and industrial equipment sectors rely on these connectors for both R&D prototype testing and high-volume production-line inspection.
When placing an order, industrial clients should confirm and specify the following information: (a) part number, (b) pressure range, (c) test medium and required leakage rate, (d) temperature range, (e) space requirements, and (f) test piece details or CAD drawings. If a suitable connector is not found in the standard range, custom configurations can be developed based on application requirements.
The OTHC series supports four external thread standards: metric (M), G-type, NPT, and UNF. Each standard has a dedicated model range with corresponding part numbers.
Maximum pressure depends on the thread type. NPT models support up to 350 bar, selected metric models support up to 250 bar, and G-thread models support up to 20 bar. Refer to the specification table for the exact rating of each model.
Yes. Every quick connector part number has a corresponding plugging part number (suffix "-P") for applications where only sealing is required without a media inlet.
Yes. Additional designs and configurations can be customized according to customer requirements, including modified dimensions, alternative sealing materials, and special surface treatments.
